IGIABA SCEGO (*1974 in Rome) comes from a Somali family. She holds a doctorate in the Theories and Techniques of Cultural Mediation and post-colonial studies and has taught and researched at international universities. She has published several novels and short stories. ‘Cassandra in Mogadishu’ is her first novel to be published in German.
