Second Thoughts
The World Cannot Continue as It Is
The discussion will be held in English.
Second Thoughts is a new format that invites participants to doubt without despairing. Each dialogue begins with a book previously presented at the Literaturhaus and explores its themes from new perspectives. The starting point for this evening is Wolfram Eilenberger’s “Geister der Gegenwart” (Ghosts of the Present), which examines key European philosophers in the post–Second World War era. Norman Ajari, Jennifer Richard, and Henri-Michel Yéré expand the view of this period by incorporating non-European movements, such as the ‘Black radical tradition,’ and thinkers like Frantz Fanon.
The series is curated by Ivna Žic, Henri-Michel Yéré, and Ralph Tharayil.
