Sofa Reading with Miriam Suter & Natalia Widla
Never for Love
This event is in German.
In Switzerland, a woman is killed by her partner or ex-partner every two weeks. But who exactly is behind the vague term ‘perpetrator’? In their new book “Niemals aus Liebe” (Never for Love), Miriam Suter and Natalia Widla explore the roots of male violence against women. Building on their first collaborative work, “Hast du Nein gesagt?” (Did You Say No?), which addressed sexualized violence, the authors draw on the work of experts from the fields of law, politics, and psychology. Together, they critically assess current measures and highlight what still needs to be done to combat gender-based violence.
This reading is organized in collaboration with Sofa Readings and the “End Violence” (Halt Gewalt) week, which campaigns against domestic violence.
