In 1992 Bosnia, Tanja is a child watching as her homeland is engulfed in war. She observes, listens and claws out meaning from a world that has disintegrated into absurdity. Her mother packs her children into the car like suitcases. Uncle Marko moves to the mountains with his rifle. Safe in Switzerland, Tanja looks back into the past as an adult woman, uncovers the forgotten and the hidden, and feels the pain of a generation that can never be erased.
