Just like a brother
Reading and discussion will be in German.
They grew up like brothers in the Ruhr Valley in the seventies. But Frank, unlike the first-person narrator, felt the lure of the world at an early age. Seeing his future as an artist, he went to New York, where he painted obsessively, but without success. Only when he is terminally ill does he finally return, leaving his paintings in the hands of the narrator, who has no idea what to do with them. Decades later, they are discovered in a gallery and surprisingly become an attraction. With Frank hailed as a brilliant painter, the friendship suddenly appears in a new light.
