ZÜLFÜ LIVANELI
The Fisherman and his Son
The event will take place in Turkish and German.
In his new novel, Zülfü Livaneli focuses on the everyday plight of refugees along the Mediterranean coast. When Mustafa finds a baby from one of the many refugee boats whilst out fishing, everything changes for him and his wife Mesude. Instead of handing the baby over to the authorities, Mustafa hides it. A novel of great emotional power. “An indispensable and authoritative voice in Turkey’s cultural and political scene.” (Orhan Pamuk)
You can attend this event in person or online.
